The Awakening Body with Olivia

September 24 - 30

Focusing on the chakras and nervous system, this week will involve a dynamic morning flow to energise body, mind and soul, release tension and unblock trauma.  The evening sessions will invite us to drop into the cells of our body though sound, breath and a deep restorative practise, supporting relaxation and healing. 

The week will include daily yoga classes, wholesome food, yurt accommodation, back to nature walks and fesh water swimming, designing your own mandala to take home, meditation and visualisation practices and a final evening stargazing in the hot tub.


This combination of varied practices, immersed in nature, will make this a life changing week 

The week will include ten yoga classes at 8am to 9.30am and 5pm to 6.30pm, over five days.

About the Retreat

Situated near Coimbra - Central Portugal. This offgrid eco-friendly retreat offers a chance to truly get back to nature with outdoor yoga and dining, unique yurt accommodation, all held within the safety of a welcoming green valley.

Guests come together during the yoga practices and at meal times as they enjoy the fantastic organic freshly prepared vegetarian meals.

The yoga deck is situated at the top of valley which allows the morning  sun to warm up the body, and the afternoon breeze to refresh. As well as allowing the group to take in the stunning views down the valley.

Wholesome food - Expect three yummy vegetarian (lacto-ovo) meals a day, mostly vegan (approx 80%), occasionaly we use eggs and cheese. Food. Breakfast is self service with seasonal fruits, a selection of cereals and toasted sourdough and local corn bread, accompanied by homemade jam or marmalade. A selection of tea (green, black, Pukka and Yogi) and coffee is available throughout the day. Lunches are fresh garden salads, grain salads, falafel or spanish omelette. Usually served with a variety of raw dips, nut pates, or hoummus. Evening meals include a variety of curries with biryani rice or coconut rice, vegetable noodles with stir-fried tofu & vegetables, moussaka and salad, spiced potatos with honey aubergine & couscous. All our dishes are made with our own vegetables or locally sourced vegetables and seasoned with fresh herbs from our garden. We also have goats here and make our own cheese. Please let us know when booking if you have any special dietary requirements.

Comfortable yurt accomodation - Expect comfortable cosy accomodation in one of our three lovely yurts, all made here by us, using pine from our own land!! Yurts are wonderfully peaceful to sleep in.

Hot Tub - Definitely one of the highlights for lots of our guests is stargazing in the hot tub, relaxing those yoga muscles at the end of the week.

Olivia Emes

Olivia is a Hatha Yoga Teacher specialising in a practise that heals the body, mind and soul. Working with the breath to drop deep into the cells of our body and asana to restore and replenish the nervous system, Olivia provides a non competitive and nurturing space to come closer to our true authentic self. Paying close attention to the heart and chakra systems, Olivia invites a practise that allows us to release trauma and tension, and bring us into a place of balance and harmony. Holding a safe and supported environment where we can just be ourselves, Olivia's teaching encourages us to arrive at a place of non-judgement and self-love.

'The food was absolutely delicious, very nutritious and full of flavour. I am usually quite a picky eater and do not eat too much vegetarian food, however I found myself wanting more of every dish. I was also impressed that every meal was different throughout the week and love the fact that the food is picked fresh from the valley.

I have never stayed in a yurt before but found them surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. Sleeping in such a lovely interior whilst hearing the natural sounds from outside made the experience even more magical.'
